Visit Devon and Cornwall, England

Hi everyone. I'm Christian and I live in the south west region of England called Torbay, Devon. Devon and Cornwall is a beautiful place to visit and offers incredible scenery, stunning beaches, amazing coastal walks and has lots of truly unique British towns. Here you can really practise your English language skills while you immerse yourself in British culture. I have lived in this part of England for over 10 years and it is a great place to call home and a fantastic tourist destination. 

Devon and Cornwall has some of the most beautiful landscapes in all of England and it is a fantastic place to spend time as you learn about British culture and the language. I am currently offering private or group tours of the region to anyone who would like to explore South West England. Below, you can see the list of some places to visit and things to do. 

Torquay - The birthplace of Agatha Christie, one of the most famous authors in the world. 

Paignton - A popular holiday destination for British tourists. It is located next to sandy beaches, the annual airshow and a great place to try out our infamous 'fish and chips' dish. 

Brixham - A famous fishing town, well-known for the largest pirate festival which takes place in May and is the location where the privateer Sir Francis Drake would visit with his ship 'The Golden Hind'.

Dartmouth - A stunning, picturesque town situated on the River Dart where annual regattas take place. 

Dartmoor National Park - A place which is home to Haytor Rock (a natural landmark) and lots of river valleys and rare British wildlife. 

Exeter City - A place which offers a wide variety of popular commercial shops, restaurants and beautiful pubs such as The Double Locks.

Totnes - A truly unique market town with lots of independent shops, riverside walks and a relaxed, bohemian lifestyle.
